Wedding Season 2010…PWI + UGA

Wedding Season 2010…PWI + UGA

We love January because we love booking brides for the new year! We are especially excited about the upcoming nupitals of one of our own, Charnelle! She is the sister of April Davenport. Charnelle and Antonio, her fiance will unite in a beautiful fall ceremony later this year and we have the honor of creating all the wedding stationery for their special day. Char and Tony had their engagement session with our favorite photographer, Julius Grimes of  KreativTouch Photography, and provided us with wonderful pictures to use throughout the wedding planning experience. Since the couple met on the campus of the Univerity of Georgia, the campus provided the perfect backdrop for the shoot. Here are just a few of the many!

Two if by Sea

Two if by Sea

How we love weddings! In October, we had the privilege of sharing with two of our clients as they tied the knot in Charleston, South Carolina. This historic city was the perfect backdrop for the rich, deep love that Angela and Clyde share. The wedding was held at Mount Zion AME Church and the reception was held at the South Carolina Aquarium. The beauty of the invitations resonated through the design of the programs. For the Corbins, we combined a number of our program styles to create an elegant and stunning piece. The happy couple allowed us 100% free reign on creativity for their wedding stationery. This allowed us to be inspired by their love and devotion for one another and transform it to luxurious wedding stationery! We also created name placards for the candy bar as well as inserts for the CD favors. We extend God’s greatest blessings upon Angela and Clyde. The wedding is over, but the marriage is sure to last a lifetime!

Our special thanks to Sky+Carla Photography for the awesome job they did in capturing every moment of this grand occasion!

Persistence Is Key

Persistence Is Key

Papered Wonders, Inc. has been blessed to design a multitude of logos. Sometimes, we present one design concept and the client is hooked; other times, we have to dig deep into our creative crevices to design the perfect logo for our client. Let it not be misunderstood, though; we welcome the challenge. It is our goal to provide every client with their own unique “wonder”. If that means extra time is needed or more thought required, we are happy to do so. We want our clients to know that we will use every effort to please them! We are pleased to present one of our most recent logo designs, Simply Stunning Affairs. This logo design took longer to refine and perfect, but the time was worth it when the owner. Cherese A. Michel, said those wonderful three words, “I love it!” So do we.

Here is Cherese’s testimonial:

“I just wanted to thank Lisa of Papered Wonders, Inc again for all of her hard work and dedication with producing my company’s official logo. Lisa is a VERY dedicated and passionate person and believed from the begining that we would be able to work together to produce what I had envisioned my logo to be. My experience working with Lisa was very pleasant and I plan on working with her further to produce more of my company’s branding items. In addition, I will be directing some of my clients her way for their ”papered” design needs. Lisa is FULLY endorsed and recommended by Simply Stunning Affairs, LLC. We wish you continued success.”

Golden Summers

Golden Summers

Well, summer is officially over and it ended with a flourish for PWI! Our last wedding of the season was a beautiful combination of rich gold tones and burnt oranges. We were pleased to provide the programs, menu cards, table numbers, and escort cards as the wedding day stationery. The Lydia program, a popular style, turned out beautifully as gold paper and gold ribbon teamed together to create a perfect complement to the wedding decor. The couple’s monogram became the underlying theme that tied all of the wedding pieces together. What a nice way to end the season!

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Joan and Bgenga as they start their lives together!

Honored To Serve

Honored To Serve

PWI has always been eager to please our clients. Our greatest joy is when a client lets us know how pleased they were with their “papered wonder”. We consider it a pleasure to create custom designs and unique products and never do so with the intent to gain recognition. However, when our clients are pleased and we are recognized as a result, we count ourselves dually-blessed! Such was the case in the premiere edition of Atlanta Occasions Magazine. The Publisher, Heather Vreeland, chose to feature one of our unique invitation designs as well as interview our CEO, Lisa, about stationery trends. We are pleased that Heather considers PWI ahead of the game and grateful for the exposure to brides across the Atlanta area and beyond. PWI is humbled by this special recognition and remains honored to serve.

Metallic Meets Midnight

Metallic Meets Midnight

We LOVE metallic! Metallic paper, that is! Metallic paper hit the printing scene around 2004. We have seen it evolve from the most basic colors to every shade of the color spectrum. A fairly new color is Lapis Lazuli. This color is a rich midnight blue and its metallic form is beautiful! One of our couples this summer, Belinda and Justin McDowell, chose midnight blue and silver for their wedding colors. We certainly enjoyed creating their wedding stationery. For the invitation, we created a layered card with the silver invitation and midnight blue backing. The wedding day stationery consisted of programs (The Lydia), name placards, and table tents, and menu cards. The program was accented with a rich blue ribbon on the side. The couple chose their favorite cities as their table names. The silver and blue layered menu card was tucked away in the napkin creating an elegant table. Of course, the stationery was heightened by the love the couple shares as it resonated through our design. This bride chose bold colors for her summer wedding and we created wedding wonders for her!

The Language of LOVE

The Language of LOVE

Well, the wedding date is set. The venue is secured. Now, it’s time to send out the wedding invitations. Sure, you know what you want them to look like, but do you know what you want them to say? In past times, wedding invitation verbiage was black and white. The parents of “bride” invited you to the wedding to “groom” and all was said and done. However, as with everything else, that trend has changed. While it is still highly appropriate to use traditional verbiage, there are also many other ways to invite others to your special day. For example, the invitation doesn’t have to begin with the actual invitation. Use a sentence or two to introduce the love you share to your guests. A scripture or short poem is also fitting. Furthermore, more couples choose to acknowledge the groom’s parents as well as the bride’s parents. You can invite your guests to “share, witness, join, or grace” you with their presence. The bottom line is that you don’t have to be rigid when it comes to your wedding invitation verbiage. Every element of your wedding should be personal and unique. Why not start with the invitation?

Visit www.verseit.com for verbiage suggestions and then change it up and it your own!
